On Tuesday, October 30, 2018 the First Grade is going to Oma’s Pumpkin Patch. This is always so much fun! We leave the school at 9:30 to arrive for our check-in time of 10:00. The children are wearing their PE uniforms with athletic shoes so that they can enjoy all the fun things Oma’s offers. Every year Oma’s adds something new for the children. The favorites are sledding down cottonseed mountain, petting the animals, getting through the hay maze, and moving the rubber ducks by pumping water. These are only a few of the fun activities the children enjoy with the cost of their admission. We’ll eat the lunch we brought from home (remembering that we don’t bring glass containers or straws as these might hurt the animals) at 12:00. Then at 1:00 we’ll enjoy the hayride and learn about the dairy farm. After playing a little more the children choose their very own pumpkin. Then at 2:00 we leave to arrive back at school at 2:30. This is definitely one of the best field trips ever!!!
